“Just around the corner from vibrant little India, buzzy beer bars, cheerful cafes and vintage shops have helped turn Singapore’s old hardware district into one of the Island’s trendiest hoods.”

EAT: Polish off some tasks at The Refinery, a topfloor workspace, then go downstairs for some yakitori, ramen, donburi and handcrafted cocktails. At Two Bakers, chefs trained at the prestigious Le Bleu Cordon Paris, use ingredients imported from France in items on their revamped menu.
DRINK: Earlier this year, Druggists, a bar that offers 23 craft brews on tap, took over an 80-year-old shophouse. Down the street in a converted shop is The 1925 Microbrewery & Restaurant. The pub serves yummy bar grub and short batch beers.
